The Bride of the Sea is its name in Arabic; a mixed city of Jews, Muslims and Christians and one of the oldest port cities in the world.
Jaffa is the real Zion gate in most historical periods, the front door for soldiers, pilgrims and businessmen from antiquity until today.
We will follow its biblical stories of the Old and New Testaments, through Napoleon, John Rambo, art studios and social enterprises.
Jaffa isn’t just a case study for the history of the region, but also famous for its art scene, flee market and great food, and for being
a junction where old and new politics meet.
